Sarah Raivel

Sarah Raivel Executive Operations Administrator

Sarah Raivel first joined Hopkins in 2016 as administrative coordinator in the Office of General Counsel. Six months later, she moved into the role of senior administrative coordinator in the Office of the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration, and since then has held progressively senior roles in that office, including executive assistant, executive specialist, and now executive operations administrator.

As EOA, Sarah serves an important and highly public role in the Office of the Executive Vice President for Finance & Administration, managing the administrative team, overseeing office operations, supporting leaders across the F&A function, and managing major meetings and events hosted or supported by the F&A teams. She ensures that office resources—both financial and human—are deployed appropriately to meet the goals of the EVP and F&A leaders by prioritizing assignments, projects, and meetings. She directly manages the office’s administrative team and serves as a key liaison for the office. In this role, Sarah also helps foster a supportive and welcoming environment in the office and represents the EVP, the office, and the broader F&A organization in various contexts.

Sarah joined Johns Hopkins right after college and quickly fell in love with the mission and culture of higher education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in media arts and animation from the Art Institute of York, Pennsylvania, and draws on that creative training to visualize and execute operational strategies for a very complex office. Outside of work, she enjoys keeping up with her two young daughters, tending to her houseplants, and unwinding with board games and good books.
